It is still made by non Dutch people and my camera isn't HQ, but sure. It won't be too soon though, as sushi isn't the cheapest kind. ;)

I have a feeling the further away from Japan you get the sushi is more expensive.. (this probably isn’t true, but it sure feels like it)

Don’t worry about the quality of your camera, most of the time I just use my phone’s camera. No time wasted taking hundreds of photos, gotta get that salmon in the belly!

It is. I can buy sushi any time I want though, so that should be fine.

Ah excellent :) If you happen to be getting sushi any time soon could you take a photo and submit it? I would love to see how they did salmon sushi in the home land ^_^

They have salmon that you're supposed to eat right at the moment at the places where they sell herring too (forgot how those 'places' are called) and I do know we can get (smoked) salmon from supermarkets. And of course in restaurants, but to buy salmon for sushi, I am not sure. I do live up in the northern, which is also a calmer place, so chance to find is smaller.

I think I know the kind of places you’re talking about. I can imagine cooked and also smoked salmon is available in enough places, but it is upsetting raw salmon is less available :(

Haha, you should! You can just eat it with onions since you like them so much. And if you don't like the way we eat it, you can always use a fork. Also good for keeping hands clean~

Done! Trouble is finding a place that does herring here.. but I’m sure there’s a place around.

So there isn’t much salmon around in Holland? Last time I was there was before I started eating it.. so I never noticed :(

In butter? That is something I never did.. we just sprinkle it with onions, as far I know. However, I am not fond of onion, so I eat without. ^^;

Mmm with onions.. I like onions. My dad hates them too so he always had butter. Although I can see onions and butter being delicious..
AGHH need to go back there for delicious Dutch food *drools*

They taste very well, I must say. I'd recommend it. ^^ However, we are of course used to it..

Probably similar to how Aussies like their Vegemite and the rest of the world is like wtf

I’m going to make an extra effort to try some, the right Dutch way, covered in butter and holding it above my head and om nom nom nom right?

Mar 26, 2012
As I said. I'll turn anon off, by the way. Do you enjoy herring? ^^

*ashamed* I’ve never tried it :c
Watching my dad eat it was enough to put me off last time. Although given the opportunity I would like to try it

The Netherlands. Compared to you, we are tiny~

Ohhh tiny little country ^_^ I’m half Dutch, my dad is from Arnhem!

You guys have a lot of herring, can’t say I remember seeing any salmon last time I was there D:

I am in a tiny little country in Europe. I don't think they have it here, actually. Not too nearby it is..

Tiny little country? I’m curious, which tiny little country?
